The AFHIRI Mentorship Hub is a dedicated platform connecting early-career digital health researchers in Africa with experienced senior researchers and mentors from around the world.
We believe that advancing digital health research across Africa begins with nurturing the next generation of researchers. Many early-career researchers in digital health find it challenging to identify mentors to guide them throughout the research process — navigating their careers, finding the right publications, securing funding, and building confidence in their work.
Through the Mentorship Hub, AFHIRI seeks to assist digital health researchers in Africa to gain skills in conducting research, publishing and disseminating their work, grant writing, and obtaining funding for their research projects — all within a supportive and structured environment.
Mentors on this platform are experienced digital health researchers with a track record of publications, willing and committed to help, guide and encourage African early-career researchers — whether through reviewing research proposals, manuscripts, grant applications, recommending the right journals, or any other form of guidance they feel will benefit upcoming researchers.
Whether you are a graduate student, an early-career researcher, or a seasoned expert ready to give back — the AFHIRI Mentorship Hub is your platform to grow, connect, and advance digital health in Africa.
