Dr, Aggrey Obbo

Dr. Aggrey Obbo is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Computing and Informatics at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST), Uganda, with growing expertise in computing, wireless sensor networks, digital innovation, and information systems research.

His academic work focuses on the application of computing technologies to solve challenges in resource-constrained environments, particularly within developing countries. He has contributed to research exploring people crowd detection using wireless sensor networks, intrusion detection systems, and technology-enabled solutions for community and institutional settings.
Dr. Obbo has actively participated in teaching, supervision, and mentorship of undergraduate and postgraduate students in computing and information technology disciplines at MUST. His work emphasizes practical and contextually relevant innovation, especially the use of digital technologies to improve service delivery, security, and decision-making.

His research interests include wireless sensor networks, network security, health informatics, data systems, and digital transformation in low-resource environments. Through his scholarly publications and academic collaborations, Dr. Obbo contributes to the growing body of African digital health and computing research. He is passionate about mentoring early-career researchers and supporting students in developing competencies in scientific writing, research methods, and implementation-oriented innovation.
