At AFHIRI we seek to assist digital health researchers in Africa to gain skills in conducting research, publish and disseminate their work, grant writing and obtaining funding for their research projects. We seek to develop a network of long term and short term mentors that can voluntarily offer this kind of support to graduate students, early career researchers in digital health research in Africa. We are seeking for senior researchers in digital health willing to provide voluntary mentoring support to upcoming digital health researchers in Africa.
Compared to other fields, many early-career researchers in the field of digital health find it a challenge to identify mentors to guide them throughout the research process. This can be challenging to navigate their career, we therefore believe that a platform that can help match early career researchers with senior researchers and mentors in the field of digital health is the foundation for advancing digital health.
Experienced digital health researchers with a track record of digital health publications willing and committed to help, guide and encourage African early career digital health researchers. This mentorship can range from reading through research proposals, manuscripts, grant applications, sharing right journals for publishing research and any other way they feel will benefit researchers.
