It was a great privilege to partner with Qraft Academy, and Teach Nations Uganda to conduct our first Future of Work Tour aimed at equipping healthcare workers in Modern
Workforce Development skills (workforce Innovation, digital transformation, and personal skills development) at Mbale Regional Referral Hospital from 27th-28th March 2025.

The Future of Work Consortium – Care Economy is a pioneering initiative dedicated to transforming workforce development in the healthcare and care industries. This seeks to
address the evolving needs of care professionals and organizations, the consortium designs innovative strategies, policies, and training programs that enhance employability, workforce sustainability, and operational efficiency.

The workshop was attended by key healthcare professionals, including the Hospital Director and top hospital administrators, human resource officers, physicians, in charges, laboratory managers, internship doctors and nurse, and community leaders. Topics were aimed at the 12 principles of the future of work which included Quality of life, where the participants trained in the seven forms of well-being (spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, environmental, social, occupational wellness) and were required to do a well being test and to reflect on their performance on a scale of 1 to 10 on each of the seven forms.

Career growth, post-retirement, work-life integration, productivity, sustainability and introduction to digital health for a better clinical practice in this digital era. Over 70 healthcare workers were trained and equipped with relevant skills
